Rod’s passion for automotive restoration began at the age of 9, inspired by his father, who introduced him to the art of chopping and customising classic cars like 1950 Mercurys.The first car Rod ever worked on was a 1956 oval window VW Bug, solidifying his dream of pursuing a career in automotive restoration. With over 47 years of experience, Rod is not only a master of his craft but also the heart behind Mr. Spot's Body & Paint.

After years of working out of a Chevy pickup van doing mobile body and paint work, Rod opened Mr. Spot’s to fulfil his lifelong dream of restoring vintage cars to their original glory. His favourite part of the shop is seeing the joy on customers’ faces when they pick up their beautifully restored vehicles. Rod is immensely proud of his loyal and dedicated team, whose craftsmanship brings every project to life. Having his children now working alongside him makes it even more special. Full of life and expertise, Rod continues to inspire everyone around him with his passion and joyful spirit. 

With 28 years of experience at Mr. Spot's Body & Paint, Jeff is a true master of his craft. The first car he ever painted was a VW Jetta, and his passion for perfection has only grown since. Known for his incredible ability to color match any shade and his keen eye for unique colors, Jeff ensures that every vehicle leaves the shop looking flawless. His unmatched attention to detail sets him apart, making him an invaluable part of the team.

What Jeff loves most about his job is seeing the transformation—the way a car looks after it’s been brought back to life. For Jeff, Mr. Spot’s is more than a workplace; it’s a family. “Everyone’s family here,” he says, and it’s this sense of connection that makes every day on the job truly special.

With 39 years of experience in the automotive field, Alias brings unmatched expertise and dedication to Mr. Spot's Body & Paint, where he has been part of the team for the past 9 years. His journey began with welding on a '54 Chevy Bel Air, sparking a lifelong passion for his craft.

Alias genuinely enjoys what he does, and when asked about his favorite part of working at Mr. Spot's, his answer was simple: “Everything.” His enthusiasm and skill make him an invaluable member of the team.

Mario has been mastering his craft in the automotive field for 20 years, with the past 10 as a valued member of the Mr. Spot's Body & Paint team. The first cars he ever worked on were a Karmann Ghia and a VW Bus, setting the stage for his love of classic vehicles.

What Mario enjoys most about his job is the transformation—the way a car comes in and how it leaves, perfectly restored. When asked about his favorite part of working at Mr. Spot’s, he summed it up with, “The people, the cars, the projects—everything.” Mario’s passion and dedication shine through in every project he takes on.

Gonzo

Angel has been honing his craft in the automotive field for the past 11 years, starting his journey right here at Mr. Spot's Body & Paint. The first car he ever worked on was a red Ferrari, a project that ignited his passion for the art of auto restoration.

When asked about his favorite part of his job, Angel said it’s “the art of it all.” He also loves the variety of work and the opportunity to restore classic cars. Angel’s skill and dedication make him an essential part of the team, bringing creativity and precision to every project.

With over 25 years of experience in the automotive field and 11 years at Mr. Spot's Body & Paint, Jose is an expert in his craft. While he excels at sanding, polishing, and detailing, his true passion lies in the prep work—the creative side of getting cars ready for their transformation.

Jose loves the environment at Mr. Spot’s, saying, “I love the people I work with; the environment is good.” His dedication and talent make him a vital part of the team, bringing every project one step closer to perfection.

With 20 years of experience in the automotive field, Eddy brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to Mr. Spot's Body & Paint. Although he joined the team just 3 months ago, his impact has already been significant, and we’re grateful to have him on board. The first car Eddy ever worked on was a 1972 BMW, sparking his lifelong passion as a true car enthusiast.

What Eddy loves most about his job is simple: the cars. As for his favorite part about being at Mr. Spot’s, Eddy shared, “The people and the environment.” His passion and positive energy make him a fantastic addition to the team.

Pedro has been passionate about the automotive field since graduating high school at 18, dedicating himself to perfecting his craft. For the past 4 years, he’s been an integral part of the team at Mr. Spot's Body & Paint. Pedro’s favorite part of his job is seeing the finished product—“watching the paint shine.” He also enjoys getting hands on with prep work and loves working on any car that comes his way.

When asked about his favorite part of being at Mr. Spot’s, Pedro shared, “I have support here; I always have help. I’m very happy to be here.” His enthusiasm and dedication make him an essential member of the team.

Tanner is a junior automotive specialist at just 16 years old, already making his mark in the car world. Inspired by his father, Rod, the owner of Mr. Spot's Body & Paint, Tanner’s journey began early. The first car he ever worked on was a 1972 VW Barn Door, a restoration project he and his father started together when Tanner was in 7th grade.

Tanner’s favourite part of the job is witnessing the transformation—seeing how cars come in and watching the process unfold to the stunning final product. “It really is a work of art,” he says. As the owner’s son, Tanner also values the opportunity to work alongside his dad, learning how to manage and navigate the business. He credits his time at the shop with teaching him valuable life skills that will last a lifetime.

Karess is the manager at Mr. Spot's Body & Paint, carrying on a family legacy deeply rooted in the automotive paint and restoration world. Born into the industry, she spent many years working on vehicle restoration, focusing on touch-ups and spotting for used car dealerships.

Her passion for her work stems from her love for her family, especially her father, Rod, the owner of Mr. Spot’s. Karess brings unmatched care and devotion to the company, ensuring everything runs smoothly, the team and each customer feels supported every step of the way.
